Early Childhood Center

We thank you for considering St. Peter’s Lutheran School for your child. We are excited to get to know you as part of our extended family and to watch your child grow and develop into God’s wonderful creation.

Our Early Childhood Center serves our 3 year old preschool class (Owls), our 4 year old preschool class (Foxes) and our kindergarten class.

We seek to educate the whole child and believe that children learn through active play. We provide an environment where children can explore, maneuver, investigate, create, describe, express, and observe the world around them. Our teachers are the facilitators and provide resources and opportunities for children to experience the world around them. We also recognize that children develop and grow at different rates and we work to provide developmentally appropriate activities.

Three-Year-Olds

Our three-year-old students are called the Owls. Owls must be the age of 3 no later than September 1. Parents of an Owl can choose a two-day, three-day, four-day, or five-day program for their child. These programs are a half day, school day, or full day program. Owls also need to be fully toilet trained.

Four-Year-Olds

Our four-year-old students are called the Foxes. Foxes are to be the age of 4 no later than September 1. The program for Foxes is a two, three, four or five day program. Parents may choose a half day, school day, or full day program for their child.

Kindergarten

Kindergarten is for children who are five-years-old before September 1. Our kindergarten program is from 8:30 – 12:30 each day. Parents may also choose to have their child stay until 3:00 p.m. which is the end of the school day, or they may have their child in day care which begins as early as 7:00 a.m. and ends no later than 6:00 p.m.
