Parent Teacher School Fellowship (PTSF)

St. Peter's Parent Teacher School Fellowship exists to glorify God through creating and cultivating a fruitful partnership between teachers, staff, students, families, and church members.

WHAT IS PARENT TEACHER SCHOOL FELLOWSHIP (PTSF)?

PTSF at St. Peter’s Lutheran School is similar to what many parents may call PTA or PTO, Parent Teacher Association/Organization.

PTSF is composed of all parents, faculty, staff and church members of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

The Parent Teacher School Fellowship meets the third Wednesday of every month.

The goals of Parent Teacher School Fellowship are to:

Organize and promote events that build community between families at St. Peter’s.

Provide opportunities for fundraising with the goals to improve and enhance the experience of every one of our students.

Provide opportunities for parent hours.  (Parents are required to participate in parent hours each school year.  Two parent families are to complete 30 hours per family per year, and single parent families are to complete 15 hours per family per year.)

Yearly PTSF activities include –

  • Blue and Gold Dinner in September – This is a social opportunity for families to get to know one another better at the beginning of the school year.

  • Dine Out Nights at places such as Leatherby’s and Dos Coyotes – These are great social events that raise a little money for the school.

  • Annual Jog-a-thon – This is a fall fundraiser that raises money for a designated project.  In October 2021, the Jog-a-thon provided funds and supplies for an art curriculum and music program for all of the students.

  • See’s Candies fundraisers at Christmas provides funds for classroom events.

  • Coordinating refreshments at the ECC and 1st – 5th Grade Christmas programs

  • Provide volunteers to hang art at the Art Fair and Open House in April

  • Teacher Appreciation Week – PTSF celebrates the teachers by decorating classroom doors and providing lunch for the teachers.

  • End-of-the-Year music festival: Provide either a meal or refreshments.
